Hubby is being transferred to the Dallas area so we've been doing hard core triage the last couple days to pare down before the move. Got some shoe boxes at Walmart and organized my closet. Also cleaned out the garage and apparently it was impressive as this little froggie hopped in and didn't want to leave! I gave him a shot of glamour using the free picture effects at Tuxpi.
Kal has decided that shortly after breakfast he would like to have someone play Da Bird with him. He now literally screams at the closet door where Da Bird toy is kept until someone meets his demand. This morning we had a stand off for a few hours during which I thought I could outlast him. This is his look of disgust wondering how I could possibly be so ignorant as to not understand his simple command.
We went to the local Marion ArtsFestival this past weekend and Hubby and I really got a kick out of this piece by Sarah Kargol. It's one of five in her Hero series in which Superman's girlfriend proclaims to have a headache to which he responds "Yes, Dear". It's good to know even Heros lives are imperfect:)
Although hubby is a fanatical Superman fan, this piece was a bit out of our budget, so we had to settle for lemonade shakeups and a funnel cake. The sugar buzz was great while it lasted!
We took a drive recently to Dubuque, Iowa...a quaint old river town full of historic buildings. The shop signs were nostolgic looking and I took a few pics.
Toggery? How long has it been since you've suited up at one of these??
Then there's Mystic Tattoo. Personally, I am tattoo free, which makes them all the more mystic to me.
Finally, the antique shop was three levels that consisted of a spooky basement full of old broken furniture, an upstairs full of dated wall hangings, and a main floor stacked over our heads with tiny squeeze-through aisles full of trinkets, doo dads, and hoo ha (a little bit of everything).
For my treasure of the day, I found the above ceramic statue of a french girl and added a crown I found on eBay.
Show us a fictional character that you have been a fan of since your childhood.
